My Background
As a sculptor, I have been creating free standing and wall based sculptures and installations for the last 20 years. I find beauty and inspiration from nature including insects, birds, plants and landform. I am also a Landscape Architect and through my experiences, I also find inspiration from local and global issues that are affecting
As a sculptor, I have been creating free standing and wall based sculptures and installations for the last 20 years. I find beauty and inspiration from nature including insects, birds, plants and landform. I am also a Landscape Architect and through my experiences, I also find inspiration from local and global issues that are affecting us now and in the future. These issues include, urban sprawl, high density construction, outdated infrastructure and climate change. I bring humour, scale and education with my work as I find it important to not preach but stimulate through thought, physical interaction and dialogue with the viewer.

I use many different mediums, such as egg shells, toilet paper rolls, used furniture, real estate signs and every day mass produced objects. I have practical landscape construction experience, which is integrated with my installation work. There is a strong emphasis on using recycled and found timber but it is properly restored and repai
I use many different mediums, such as egg shells, toilet paper rolls, used furniture, real estate signs and every day mass produced objects. I have practical landscape construction experience, which is integrated with my installation work. There is a strong emphasis on using recycled and found timber but it is properly restored and repaired before it is used. With my insects, they are constructed by using recycled and found outdoor furniture. There is an importance of recycling and creating beauty out of garbage.
